Visiting the Garden

The Japanese Garden shares the address of the Tillman Reclamation Plant with an entrance on the east side of Woodley Avenue in Van Nuys. Access to both the San Diego (405) and Ventura (101) freeways is close by and convenient and ample free parking adjacent to the entrance of the garden is provided for visitors.

Garden Rules & Etiquette

No Food or Beverage is allowed in the Garden

Bottled water is allowed

Please stay on the path at all times.
The garden is not meant to be strolled through like a park and wandering off the path damages the plants and landscaping.

Photography

No tripods are allowed.  Monopods are allowed.
No professional photography without a permit (Saturdays only) with the Garden

Do not feed the fish or birds

No animals are allowed in the Garden except for registered Service Animals

Walk – do not run through the garden

Do not pick any flowers or leaves from the plants

Please do not litter

If you have any questions please stop in at our gift shop

The Garden will close within 24 hours of inclement weather

The Garden will close if capacity is reached
